My Rotary! My Story!

Cecilia Ngotho, Mentorship Director, – Professional & Leadership Docket 2016-17

In the mid-1970s, there was an amazing publication called ‘The Whole Earth Catalogue’ created by a man named Stewart Brand.Stewart and his team put out several issues of the ‘The Whole Earth Catalogue‘, and after it had run its course, they put out a final issue. On the back cover of their final issue were the words “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish”. -Steve Jobs.(2005 Stanford Commencement Speech)
When I first heard this words, I thought to myself, ‘It doesn’t make any sense’ until the roller-coaster that is soon to be the past Rotary year of mentorship happened.
We have learnt so much from each other, formed new friendships, teased each other, laughed together, bonded and above all came to view each other as family.
As we look forward to making a difference, in the coming Rotary Year, I wish the same for all of us “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish”. It is my hope that these words make sense somehow. 🙂 It truly has been an honour to serve you all and looking forward to Mentorship 2017-18.
